This last week we found a lot of new listings on Craigslist potentially suggesting a resurgence in Craigslist’s viability as a platform to find buyers. From speaking with some of our sellers we have also found more interest back on old CL. Perhaps this is due to some buyers not wanting to be on Facebook or just the fact that the listings are far more vetted due to the $5 cost to post on Craigslist.
There are still hundreds of K5s and Jimmys listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace, but as the scams continue to be an issue – will the move back to Craigslist or other platforms like ours, Bring a Trailer or Classic.com become a trend? We did have a recent success story in a 1973 Chevy K5 running project that was posted just 8 days ago in our marketplace and sold in under 24 hours for full asking price.
