1975 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Cheyenne 4×4. I am the 3rd or 4th owner but the guy I bought it from knew the original owner. I was told it is a numbers matching truck (350/turbo350). Have original factory receipt and manual.
Pros:
New water pump
New double roller timing chain
New rear driveshaft u-joints
New fluids all around
Doesn’t use much oil
New power steering pump and lines
Seats out of a 2000’s Denali (the most comfortable seats ever)
Body is relatively straight and paint is a 6/10
Basically new H/T tires
Recently powder coated bumper with old Ramsey winch (pictures are before powder coat)
Dual exhaust with h-pipe
New brake booster/master (needs bled again)
New body mount bushings
New t-case bushings
New sway bar bushings
Lots of new gaskets
Cons:
Speedo is a bit off (I have the original tranny speed reducer but it needs a new pin)
Dash is bad
Needs a pitman arm (it works but the ball joint is blown)
Top has been stripped and sanded and is ready for paint (I have new seals ready to go on)
One fender has some rust and both bed rails are starting to rust
Needs an alignment which I will try to do this week
Smokes a little on cold start up
Newer radio needs power rewired
I’ve just hit the point where I want a new project. I know the price seems high but the full tops are becoming harder and harder to find. I spend a good amount of time looking for this one. $5000 OBO.
