1976 K5 Blazer

One family-owned Blazer for 44 years, until Feb, 2020. This blazer was purchased when the original owner, a USAF fighter pilot at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, NV, spied the truck at a local dealership. The paint job was an exact match for his boat, he stopped and bought it on the spot. He owned it until the early 2000’s when he sold it to his niece in Cottonwood, AZ. She owned it until the current owner bought it in Feb, 2020. The truck has spent it’s entire life in Nevada and Arizona. The mileage is documented at just over 100000 miles and the title is a Block “A” Arizona title attesting to it being actual.

The top has been repainted but the rest of the truck is original paint.
The interior is mostly original as well with only the rear seat upholstery and dash pad being replaced. The rear seat had damage done from a dog according to the niece. The carpet is original and has one hole where your heel rests when your foot is on the gas pedal. The door panels, seat backs, and console have been cleaned and repainted. The original AM radio was replaced with a retro stereo and a new dash speaker, the original AM radio does not work but conveys with the vehicle.

The Chevy 350 motor is believed to be original and all the date codes line up to that assumption. The vin is stamped down near the oil filter but the stamping is so light only a couple numbers are legible, they seem to line up with the vin but I cannot say with 100% accuracy that it is. I believe the motor to be original and so do the family members I spoke to but I cannot guarantee that it is. The motor has less than 1000 miles on it’s rebuild to 383 stroker specifications. The motor was rebuilt by AZ Camaros Restorations in Mesa AZ, using a JEGS 383 kit and a Crane Cam and Lifters. The rebuilt motor has a noticeable increase in power from the tired 350 it once was.

The carburetor was also rebuilt to original specs by AZ Camaros Restorations and runs great. The radiator was re-cored by a shop in Mesa AZ as well. The A/C system was converted from R-12 to R-134, the condenser line and compressor were replaced. The system blows cold.
