84 Military CUCV M1009 k5 Blazer.
Truck has 49k on it and it runs like new, but the body has rust issues.
Has the standard M1009 drivetrain: 6.2 diesel backed up by a turbo 400 trans.
Still has the 24 volt starting system (dual alternators) and the stock glow plug system functions as it was designed ( fires right up on cold days.
Body has rot, but patch panels are cheap $$.
Its missing the tailgate (was driven in the summer with no top /tailgate).
The frame is very clean, to clean for this body ( if I was a betting man, I would say that the floors rotted from leaking weather striping letting rain water it, the frame is not crusty like a typical New England truck driven on salty roads).
Gas tank needs to be replaced, but I have 1 that goes with it (from my parts M1009). For now I just put in a gallon at a time to keep it running.
This truck was on the road until last week.
You could go in a few different directions with this rig.
-Buy a Harbor Freight mig welder for under $100 and weld in some patch panels.
-great donor truck for a diesel conversion. This drive train has 49k miles and is stock & 100% complete with all of the brackets & wiring that you would need.
-use it as an off road/farm truck, or add a plow and have a diesel plow rig they is great on fuel.
Like I said, it was registered & on the road last week, but with the rust. I can’t sell it in good faith as a daily driver/road ready vehicle.
I have a trailer, so i can deliver it for free within 20 miles after the sale.
I own 8 CUCV’s and I’m trying to sell a few before the snow gets here.
I have 2 CUCV’S that I use as daily drivers. They are easy to work on & cheap to maintain (I have another M1009 for $2900 listed on craigslist).
Give me a call if you have any questions.
Thanks.
